The first street bike with factory installed traction control was the 2008 Ducati 1098R. Currently the 1098R, 1198S and Streetfighter S all come with factory traction control (DTC).  The DTC works by reading the difference is speed between the rear wheel speed sensor and the new front wheel speed sensor only found on the bike with DTC.  In the past your right hand was your traction control, now the small module under your seat handles it.
